Experiment: Laundry
Okay, so I know I’ve mentioned EcoNuts before. This post to be exact! I mentioned how I was considering switching entirely to doing our laundry with them. Well, before I will switch I want to do a little experiment. I’m going to take a white rag and smear it with 5 difficult stains and see how the econuts alone will do with them. No other detergents, no pre-treating, and no bleach.
Now, I’m not expecting a miracle, but I do want to see what will happen.
The Stains:
1. Dry Erase Marker. I got this idea after reading a good friends blog where she had written about how impossible those stains are to get out. So, not excepting anything miraculous, this one is just for fun.
2. Mustard. I don’t know if I could live without mustard, but I could definitely live without the stains. Especially when pregnant and trying to make the long journey over a swollen belly to my mouth. You have no idea how many shirts, pants, dresses, skirts were ruined (or almost ruined) after dropping mustard on them in a period of 9 short months.
3. Grass. I have an odd feeling with AJ toddling about that this soon will be a #1 nemesis. Best to have a plan of action, right?
4. Lipstick. Apparently this is not a fun one to try to get out? I don’t wear it very often, if ever, but I thought it might be interesting.
5. Olive oil. In the picture I know you can’t really see it, but I promise you can FEEL it. Yuck!
Okay, well the load is in the wash and I will write a post when I have the results!
